Position: Workshop Foreman
Location: Widnes
Package: Circa £39,520 per annum (£18.00 – £19.00 per hour + Overtime)
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm / Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm)
Contract: Permanent
4Sure Recruitment is excited to be supporting and partnering with an established engineering business based in Widnes. We are supporting the business expansion with their requirement for a Workshop Manager / Foreman.
Reporting to senior management team the successful candidate will be responsible for the workshop staffing and productivity as well as staff who attend site visits for Clients.
Role & Responsibilities –: Workshop Manager / Foreman
- Managing and supporting a team of 10 – 15 welder / fabricators onsite and within the workshop
- Liaising with Project Design Engineers and delegating working loads for shop floor employees as well as ensuring onsite jobs are planned and manned accordingly
- Ensuring a proactive & efficient work environment is adhering to required production demands to ensure Client deadlines are met.
- Purchasing of materials and consumables as required
- H&S overseeing on behalf of the HSQ Manager and MD
- Some hands-on work required to support teams and lead by example – fabrication / welding
Candidates Attributes / Qualifications – Workshop Manager / Foreman
- A time served Welder / Fabricator
- Able to work from fabrication and welding diagrams and inspect quality of workload
- Understanding of ISO 9001, BS EN 1090
- Previous leadership and management experience within a heavy engineering environment
- Full UK Drivers License
- IT Literate
