Position: Project Manager
Location: Birkenhead
Package: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday – Friday
Contract: Perm
4Sure Recruitment is proud t be recruiting for a highly skilled Project Manager for the manufacturing / construction hall areas of our client’s business.
Our client is a heavy engineering business and is keen to find applications from industries such as:
- MOD
- Petro Chemical
- Nuclear
- Marine
Role & Responsibilities –: Project Manager – Manufacturing / Construction Hall
- Senior accountable owner for the relationship with our customers, such as MoD and Military new build, manufacturing prime contractors.
- Collaboration and liaison with other Project Managers and members of the senior leadership team.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability of allocated projects to ensure delivery of the technical and financial performance whilst having the backing of a supportive team and working closely with the senior leadership.
- Ensuring Design, Engineering and stringent quality standards are maintained.
- Accountable for project wide Estimating covering all aspects such as technical development, supply chain, risks, variations including additional scope etc.
- Senior representative attending customer meeting cover all project aspects and levels of seniority within the customer organisation.
- Interface conduit for Production, Technical and quality areas to ensure effective project management, visibility and controls.
- Lead the project team and manage the supply chain to deliver projects to time, meeting cost and quality targets.
- Represent the company as the project commercial first point of contact.
- Delivering continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
Candidates Attributes / Qualifications – Project Manager – Manufacturing / Construction Hall
- Experience of leading projects from inception to completion, covering Estimating, Technical, Financial, Stakeholder Management.
- Must have a working knowledge of the procedures and processes undertaken in shipyards and knowledge of shipyard trade skills and their scopes of work.
- Commercial awareness and experience in working with Customers quantity Surveyors.
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to the maritime industry is desirable.
- Demonstrate knowledge of estimating projects in a heavy engineering environment.
- Preferable experience of MoD single source contracting and SSRO requirements.
- Experience in building and expanding a project team to meet additional demands.
- Maintaining a good proactive working relationship while developing the project team
