Position: Project Design Engineer
Location: Widnes
Package: £47,000 – £53,000 per annum
Hours: 39 hours per week – Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm / Friday7.30am – 12.30pm
Contract: Permanent
4Sure Recruitment is exited to be supporting and partnering with an established engineering business based in Widnes. We are supporting the business expansion with their requirement for a Project Design Engineer. This role is a key hire for the business and in turn will allow the management structure to continue with the growth and onboarding of new key clients.
Reporting to the senior management team the successful candidate will be responsible for the combination of design and project management.
Role & Responsibilities: – Project Design Engineer
- To design and prepare layout drawings, fabrication drawings, and general arrangement drawings to cover all aspects of steelwork and all other associated works.
- Liaise with Key Clients (existing and onboarding of new), engineering management, and attend site meetings to ensure requirements are maintained and achieved.
- Preparation of risk assessments and method statements
- Purchase of materials from suppliers and managing budgets for project plans
- Prepare quotations from customer enquiries in line with the Client pricing models.
- Provide support to the engineering department and its other disciplines.
Candidates Attributes / Qualifications: – Project Design Engineer
- A full UK Driving License – Essential
- Auto Cad / Solid Works or similar experience
- At least 5 years hands on work experience
- Time Served across an engineering discipline and able to understand other areas of workshop environment
- IT Literate
- Multi Tasker and enjoys a variable work day.
